La Embajada Británica en Bogotá inició su proceso de selección para el periodo de prácticas profesionales de los estudiantes de Derecho, Finanzas, Gobierno y Relaciones Internacionales, y carreras afines. Para aplicar, la Embajada solicita las hojas de vida en Inglés de los candidatos para ser entrevistados, así como una carta de presentación también en Ingles, indicando su motivación para ocupar el cargo de asistente en la Sección de Cancillería de la Embajada Británica.
El proceso de entrevistas se a finales de Noviembre. La Fecha límite para recibo de hojas de vida es el Lunes 18 de Noviembre de 2013.
La práctica es remunerada y el horario laboral es de lunes a jueves de 8:30 am a 5:00 pm y el viernes de 8:30 am a 1:30 pm. Ocasionalmente se presentan eventos en la noche o fuera de las horas laborales.

Selection criteria
Last year student of Government, International Relations, Political Science, Law, Economics or similar fields of studies.
Candidates should be interested in national, international Political Affairs and Economics. It is mandatory that the internship is a requirement for the intern to obtain his university degree.
Excellent oral and written English.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both in English and Spanish.
Good capacity for analysis and handling of administrative tasks.
Starting and end date: (January 2014 to July 2014) 6 months.

We offer an apprentice-ship contract according to the Colombian Law.
Main duties and responsibilities
Research and follow up on Colombian national politics and economy and international affairs.
Carry out administrative tasks for chancery section.
Support the embassy’s work on human rights, including raising cases with the government and developing a periodic bulletin to promote the British Embassy work on Human Rights in Colombia.
